Volunteer
Volunteers at our preschool bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities of children and staff. We are keen to offer the opportunity for volunteers to experience our outdoor setting and see the way we run. Preschool therefore welcomes and encourages volunteers.
All adults/young people who work in our preschool, whether a paid member of staff or a volunteer, are expected to work and behave in such a way as to actively promote our ethos. Preschool does not count volunteers or work experience students in ratio and they do not have the same level of responsibility as paid members of staff.
Volunteers may be working directly with the children, in which case they will always be under the supervision of a qualified member of staff. Regular volunteers are expected to turn up on time and to work the whole of their assigned hours, if they cannot attend or are going to be late, they must phone a manager
