Behaviour help
Our children present with all kinds of behaviours in all kinds of situations, we believe the trick to good parenting is to listen to your child, to take the time to get down on their level and let the child be heard. We also believe that parents need to guide and instruct children, don’t let them make all the decisions, this is often too big a burden for them to bear. Don’t ask them what they want for lunch but offer them two choices and only do this from time to time. While we may think we want to ask our children’s opinion on everything in fact this can be quite detrimental to their social and emotional wellbeing, children just don’t need this kind of responsibility and it can make friendship forming and relaxing into play difficult if they feel the need to constantly be the one in charge, the one making the decisions.
