Visitors

Clophill Preschool welcomes visitors and operates an open door policy, we believe they can enhance the children’s experience and enrich their knowledge or provide support if required. However, some limitations may be placed on visitors to protect the safety of children and staff and to avoid unnecessary disruption. Managers have the authority to determine which visits are to be permitted as well as the discretion to set any appropriate conditions on the nature of and extent of such visits. In exercising their discretion, the manager will consider the purpose of the visit, the impact of the visitors’ presence and the relationship of any visitor to the children.

Clophill Preschool reserves the right to refuse entry to any person, which we may have reasonable doubt of their identity or visiting capacity, until that person’s identity can be confirmed, for example by means of a phone call to a professional body or company.

Clophill preschool will not tolerate any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour towards its staff or anyone in its care and exercises the right to ban such individuals from the premises.

In instances where parents are separated both parents have rights to visit the preschool unless a court order exists restricting such contact or the parent does not have parental rights.

Any parent interested in a place for their child at preschool will be invited to an Open Day before accepting a place.

Parents of children due to start are invited to join us for a free Stay and Play session each week until their child starts to assist with settling in.
